The spalted maple we use develops its markings naturally as the wood ages, creating contrast and movement across the surface. The live edge runs along one side, grounding the board in the shape of the tree it came from.

Our mineral oil has a beeswax base that adds beauty and protection from everyday wear and tear. Beeswax conditioners help prevent wood from drying out as well as from absorbing too much moisture.

Common mistakes include letting old fruit and vegetables rot at the bottom of a bowl (this may stain) or putting wood in the oven.
