Toss leafy greens with a well-crafted, artisanal flair.   These hand-made salad tossers have an elegant and slightly bowed shape.  They range in size from 9” to 13.5”, are sustainably sourced, upcycled, and handcrafted in New England.

Our driftwood tossers are made by using a natural gray paint wash that is 100% food safe. All of our bowls are hand finished on site with some variation in color depending on the wood underneath.  Oak wood is most frequently used to make our driftwood bowls. Oak is a sought after hardwood known for being strong, heavy and straight-grained.

Our driftwood salad tossers come in three sizes to seamlessly compliment the variety of bowl sizes we offer.

Information about sizing can be found in the drop down box above.  The 9″ and 11″ tossers are thin and slightly bowed, while the 13.5″ rustic tossers are thicker and straighter.  Please use photos for shape description.  A wooden bowl with tossers is a popular gift for holidays, anniversaries, housewarmings and birthdays.  It can be fun to mix and match patterns!  For example, our black ebonized tossers pair beautifully with our artisan spalted maple bowls (and vice versa).

Hand wash with mild soap and towel dry.

DO NOT oil our Driftwood, White Pearl, and Sea Glass finishes.

These bowls are made with an acrylic food safe finish and are already sealed.

Our mineral oil has a beeswax base that adds beauty and protection from everyday wear and tear.  Beeswax conditioners help prevent wood from drying out as well as from absorbing too much moisture.

Prolonged exposure to water can cause damage; please do not submerge in water or place in the dishwasher.

Common mistakes include letting old fruit and vegetables rot at the bottom of a bowl (this may stain) and putting a bowl/board in the oven.
