These live edge cutting boards start with spalted maple — wood that’s full of character, with streaks and swirls formed naturally over time. We work with what the tree gives us, shaping each one by hand and finishing it just enough to protect the surface while keeping its grain visible. The edge keeps the shape of the original tree — no hard angles, no forced symmetry — just the natural line, lightly stained to bring out contrast. It gives each board a bit of wildness, even when the surface is smooth and clean.
That soft oval shape makes it more than just a wooden cutting board. It works as a charcuterie platter, a carving board, even a presentation tray when you’re setting out something worth showing off. And with a range of sizes, there’s one for just about every kind of prep or serve.
