Toss leafy greens with a well-crafted, artisanal flair. These hand-made salad tossers have an elegant and slightly bowed shape. They range in size from 9” to 13.5”, are sustainably sourced, upcycled, and handcrafted in New England.
These tossers are made of black ebonized wood. Our ebonized bowls are made by using a natural process to darken wood that allows a beautiful wood grain to show through. The ebonizing process reacts with the tannins in the wood creating bowls that are dark brown to black and 100% food safe. Our ebonized bowls are most frequently made from oak wood which is a sought after hardwood known for being strong, heavy and straight-grained.

Proper care extends the life of your wooden salad bowl. Here are our top tips:
Hand Wash Only: Avoid putting your wooden bowl in the dishwasher. Instead, wash it by hand with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.
Avoid Soaking: Do not soak your wooden bowl in water, as this can cause the wood to warp or crack.
Regular Conditioning: To maintain the wood’s luster and prevent it from drying out, oil your bowl regularly with a food-safe oil, like mineral oil or beeswax.
Store Properly: Store your bowl in a dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent cracking and fading.
