Live Edge Wooden Bowls (Oval)

Live edge wooden bowls hold the original edge of the tree. Instead of cutting away the oval form, we keep it, sometimes with bark left in place. That edge makes each bowl less uniform, more organic, tied back to the tree it came from.

Oval wooden bowls are usually wider and a little shallower than the round styles. They suit fruit on a counter or work as a serving piece at the center of a table. No two edges turn out the same. Some curve softly, others hold a sharp line, sometimes with a patch of bark smoothed over but left visible.
