Each of these wooden serving trays starts with spalted maple — a pale hardwood that gains its dark lines and streaks as it ages naturally in the forest. The markings form over time, and we step in just before the wood breaks down. That’s when the patterns are at their peak.
From there, we shape the trays by hand. The surface is sanded smooth and finished with a light, food-safe seal. It protects the wood without covering up what makes it special.
Inset handles on each end make them easy to pick up, and the raised rim keeps everything in place — from glasses and snacks to a full spread. Whether you’re serving drinks, dishing out appetizers, or laying out charcuterie, the shape and size make a difference — and we’ve got you covered with four distinct options:
Bread Tray – 18.5″ x 9″
A slim wooden serving tray sized for bread and butter, cheese and crackers, or afternoon tea for one.
Small Tray – 20″ x 12″
Perfect for solo meals, cocktails, or small appetizers. Big enough to serve, light enough to carry.
Medium Tray – 21.5″ x 13.5″
Roomy enough for a full charcuterie spread or a hearty meal with drinks. Makes a beautiful party piece.
Large Tray – 24″ x 15″
Our most generous option — built for gatherings, two full meals, or an array of appetizers and drinks.
No two pieces of spalted maple are ever the same, and we don’t try to make them so. That’s the charm. This is wood with a story — every tray a small slice of the New England forest, shaped and preserved for daily use.
