Each one of these rectangular wooden cutting boards starts as a reclaimed slab of spalted maple. The shape stays simple, but the live edge tells the story of where it came from — following the original line of the tree. You’ll see streaks, lines, and contrast from the spalting process, which happens as the maple begins to age in the forest. We sand each board by hand and seal it just enough to protect the surface without covering up the grain.
They’re practical, but not plain. You can chop vegetables, serve cheese, or carry out a tray of desserts — and it’ll feel right either way. Whether you keep one in the kitchen for prep or bring it out for company, these wooden cutting boards clean up well and hold their own on the table.
Our boards are perfect for use as cutting boards, serving platters, cheese trays, or dessert boards.
