Twelve inches across, this medium maple wood burl bowl offers room for a family-style salad or a week’s worth of fruit. The live rim traces the original burl, creating a shape that’s less circle and more topographic map.

Each one begins with reclaimed maple burl, chosen for its mix of creamy base color and intricate grain patterns. Some have sweeping flame-like lines; others reveal patches of quilting or darker streaks. We keep the edge natural, but smooth the interior for serving, protecting it with a light food-safe oil.
