This 14-inch large live edge cherry burl wood bowl has enough space for a big family-style salad or a spread of fresh bread. The edge follows the uneven line of the burl, making the outline less like a perfect circle and more like the tree that grew it.
We salvage cherry burls from fallen or retired trees and work them carefully to keep their wild character intact. The inside is brought to a smooth finish for serving, while the outside keeps its rugged texture. A light oiling protects the wood without covering its color and feel.
Equally good at the table or as a centerpiece, this one’s built to draw attention without trying too hard.
