This large ebonized oak bowl spans 15 inches, giving it room for a family salad or a generous pile of rolls. Its rim dips and rises, following the live edge for a relaxed but refined look.
The ebonizing process reacts naturally with oak’s tannins, creating rich, lasting shades while keeping the grain in view. Every piece is shaped by hand from reclaimed stock, then sealed with food-safe oil for protection. The result is dark but never flat, shifting in tone as light moves across it.
It works as well for serving as it does as a centerpiece.
