There’s an easy beauty to ambrosia maple. Pale wood marked by soft gray and brown streaks — each one caused by the ambrosia beetle — means no two bowls ever look alike. The grain carries a sense of movement, subtle and organic, while the hand-turned form stays simple and timeless. Each piece is sanded smooth and finished with our food-safe oil, keeping the feel natural and warm.
These bowls are built for the table. From small everyday servings to generous salads that feed a gathering, each size has its place. They work equally well as functional kitchen tools and as centerpieces that carry the story of the tree into your home. Light in color and versatile in use, they’re as practical as they are beautiful.
Like all of our work, the Ambrosia Maple bowls are hand-turned in New England from upcycled local hardwoods. Every bowl is made start to finish by our craftspeople in Gill, Massachusetts — part of a long tradition of wooden bowl making in this region. Durable, useful, and meant to be passed down, each one connects you to both the forest and the table.
